You're a very kind person in a hypothetical situation! But the front wheel of the bike was taco'd, and the front brakes were broken off, so it was unridable without extensive repairs which I can do. I had shown kindness to this person before and they knew that I liked bicycles, so after they found it wrecked in the alley they brought it to me and I compensated them for their trouble. The cro-moly frame is amazing for an old bike. So light. The former homeless person is gainfully employed and owns a pickup now, because people in the neighborhood treated them like an equal, not like a beggar.
