Your story is missing something very important. You hung with a creep who was abusing you, cheating on you, and generally disrespecting you for ten years because you wanted to "win his love". WHY? Was he really good looking, funny, well endowed, rich, all of the above, what? Some indication of the attraction there would have made this much more effective. You were getting something out of that relationship or it wouldn't have gone on for ten years.
