So how does the trash get on the streets of some neighborhoods? I don’t think the police left all of it because it isn’t just coffee cups, and Dunkin’ Donuts boxes. Environmentally, trash on the ground is the lowest hanging fruit there is, a problem that anyone can take of. Yet you walk into some neighborhoods and it’s all over the place. It definitely puts the idea out there that no one in the area gives a fuck about where they live, and maybe they don’t. In 20 or 30 years hence when the police are replaced by whatever it is that they will be replaced with, maybe they can throw in some folks to pick up the garbage along with the social workers and psychiatrists. That whole anti-littering campaign doesn’t seem to be catching on in some places.
