You certainly don’t have to forgive someone that has done you wrong, but it’s hard to go forward if you don’t forget them. If you need to extract some kind of revenge, get it over with so that you can move on. If you’re not planning some get back, why even bother thinking about them? If they can’t be dead, they can at least be dead to you. Hate is a heavy burden to carry.
