You are protecting what exactly, and from whom? The people that were involved in harvesting the trees from the cut you observed have already forgotten more about trees than you will ever know. That's how they make a living. Instead of acting like they are some sort of enemy, have you ever talked to them? Men love to show others what they do, and how, and that is how you get them to change.
