Yeah I like people too, old and young. I’m an old timer myself, but someone dying at a young age is a tragedy, while someone dying at an old age is to be expected. An 18 year old who’d never been kissed riding a burning B-17 into the middle of Frankfurt is one hell of a lot different than an 80 year old who had the opportunity to have a full life dying in bed of anything. According to California, 74.4 of all people who died of Covid-19 there were over 65, and 41.9 % were over 80 years old.
Those over 80 that succumbed to the illness, God rest their souls, still exceeded the average life span.
