What the author fails to mention is that all government has coercion at the root of everything they do. If you break the law and get caught, at some point a government agent with their hand on a Glock and handcuffs on their belt is going to have some words with you. At the heart of the libertarian philosophy is reducing the number of things that the government can force you to do. People that want increased government control over society are more likely to be mixed up in politics since they want to be the officials who command those folks with the Glocks and the handcuffs. Totalitarian states are notable for the number of cops they have.
