Well, if you don’t work hard in a field that people are willing to pay you for, the prospects are grim no matter what the stats say. And why can’t someone become a millionaire as a plumber? It’s a job that is absolutely essential, doesn’t require a college degree, can’t be outsourced, and constantly requires new, young workers. You just have to work your ass off. And we’re all living out an anecdote, not sliding down a graph. Here’s another anecdote. I have a niece that intended to become a journalist, but when they took Matt Lauer’s name off the j-school she was attending it was a wake up call to her, and she got her degree in marketing. She’s killing it now.
