Way #1 and Way #2 cancel each other out. If a guy is really “going for it”, it’s going to take up his time and energy. Applying to dream job or a school, or working on a resume take a few hours at the most that this dude could do at his leisure in his own home. He could even just lie about it. Starting at that dream job might take 80 hours a week the guy is not spending with you, but he is actually going for it. You say you found a guy that is flexible with his time, which means he probably has a regular day job and no projects, no band, no community stuff, no regular friends, no serious fitness routine, no sport, or no side hustles going on. He’s not going for it, he’s just after you I guess.
