Watch Citizen Kane from 1941 and tell me that this bullshitting hasn’t always gone on. The difference is that back in 1941 only people like William Randoph Hearst had the means to spread bullshit all over the country, and now everyone does. That’s actually an advance for the people and democracy, but it does make things messier. Get used to it, because there is no going back.
