Virtually all of the people I know, including my friends, family, and even co-workers, are kind hearted and pleasant to be around, or I wouldn't be around them. Most strangers I encounter in the modern, industrialized city where I live are the same way. Where do you live that people are so horrible? The internet is not a real place, by the way. You are romaticizing lifeways that people have been fleeing for hundreds of years for very good reasons. Something you don't address in your reply is the way that women are treated in most traditional cultures like the one you pictured. Hint: It's like shit. They have very little agency.

I mentioned German cars because that is the Alps, and that's what people drive there because they are reliable and made nearby, and people need them to get around. They have modern equipment to make cheese, meat, or whatever because it's safer, and more productive. I ride a bicycle and don't own a car by the way, because I don't mind some hardship in my life. I just think that wishing we could live like traditional people is silly, since their life is not better in any way, particularly the women.
