This was all really fine advice all the way down to the last question,” Will you be remembered after you’re gone?” No, by and large you will not be remembered by anyone except for the people that you were close to when you died, and when they go… Ask anyone under forty who singing cowboys Gene Autry or Roy Rodgers were, and you will get a vacant stare even though they were absolutely huge and beloved movie stars and recording artists while they lived not that long ago. None of us will be privy to anything that happens after we’re gone, so why even consider it? People need to worry about how they are perceived by the people that are around them now, particularly their families, since they are the only ones likely to comfort them or even simply be around in their old age, the long period of decline, loss, and suffering that comes before death. Since the author is rather young, he can be forgiven for missing that.
