This is an interesting take, but although divination in traditional African societies can take many forms, astrology and tarot cards are not among them. Even though astrology was initially developed in the ancient Middle East, the version practiced now is as European as Christianity is. There is also the Chinese version. Presumably the stars and planets affect all humans the same way regardless of their color, as does the Tarot. Interest in these things should be something that brings people together, not sorts them by race. It should also be mentioned that being a member of the evangelical Christian black church and having non-Christian spiritual practices as well is not unusual and never has been. As adults, people in a free society generally engage in whatever spiritual practices work for them, and it doesn’t have to be all or nothing.
