There was no meeting where all of the Baby Boomers got together and decided to do things a certain way. Not all of the Boomers were Hippies, and not all of them were Punk Rockers either. But the previous generation was unabashedly racist, homophobic, and believed that women belonged in the kitchen though. Enviromentalism as a concept was totally alien to them Nobody particularly cared about drunk driving and cars didn't have seatbelts. The Cold War was going on. All of the digital wonders such as the one we are using now were science fiction. There were like five kinds of beer.
