There is a lot of video of the Ike and Tina Turner Review performing on television back in the 1960s and 1970s available on Youtube, and even today their act is astounding. Not only was Ike an incredible musician who invented Rock&Roll, but he knew how to select and arrange songs, and he knew how to put on a great show from decades on the chitlin circuit. Tina was superhuman with the greatest legs on Earth, and there were the Ikettes and a terrific band. You are going to love whatever song they play. And they played on every television show except Hee-Haw, and packed concert halls all around the World.
Now that Tina and Ike are gone only their art remains, which despite all the unpleasantness, they made together. Great art always comes with complications.
Incidentally, Tina didn't write What's Love Got to with It, although her rendition is iconic. It was written by musicians Terry Britten and Graham Lyle, both of whom are best known for writing that song.
