There has been a terrible war being fought intermittently on the Horn of Africa between government of Ethiopia and the province of Tigray since November 2020. Tens of thousands of people have been killed, possibly millions displaced, there have been mass killings, and rape and starvation are being used as weapons. The conflict is dragging in neighboring countries like Eritrea. But it's black people fighting black people and the leadership of both sides seem evil and stupid.

Who has had this conflict on their radar, or rather who would benefit from dispensing daily reports about it? If someone is not following the developments in this war closely, is it because they are racist, and that Africans don't really count as much as Europeans? Or is it because the people that are dispensing the flow of information don't think that the Tigray War will generate as much interest in their readers and viewers as the conflict in Ukraine? Everyone already knew one of the players in the Ukraine War, the despicable Vladimir Putin. It makes a better story, and the video is more than just long lines of starving African refugees trudging down dusty roads in harsh landscapes and young guys sitting around with Kalishnakovs.
