There are societies around the World where no one gets much, except for a tiny number of people. They are mostly horrible places to live. North Korea and Cuba come to mind. I’ve never met an economic indicator, let alone had one shout at me. Aren’t they just a bunch of numbers? I was just in a very busy Las Vegas, and didn’t run into one. Huge trade shows and jammed airliners are a thing again though. A lot of new properties are going up there now, but I don’t think that ever stopped.

You can go ahead and live in tent, and eat grubs and drink rainwater if you like. I like my stuff, as do most other people. Most people work so that they don’t have to live in privation, and some work extra hard so they can have some special stuff.
