The present Italian Minister of the Enviroment Roberto Cingolani will do a fabulous job saving the environment I'm sure, just as long as the Draghi government stays in power. The average length of a government in Italy since WW II has been a little over one year. Prime Minister Draghi's Wikipedia article doesn't even mention the enviroment, and Dr. Cingolani's last job was with the giant defence contractor Leonardo S.p.A. The tiny Italian Federation of the Greens polled 2% of the votes in the early aughts, but presently they don't have any sitting members in the Senate, Chamber of Deputies, or the European Parliament. The photo illustration gives a good indication of their public support. Counting on the Italian government to take a decisive action on anything is a stretch as well.
