The New River Gorge Bridge is another elegant deck arch bridge, located in West Virginia USA that is 3 times as long as the Salginatobel Bridge, and until 2001 was the highest traffic carrying bridege in the World. Built out of COR-TEN steel in 1977, the bridge cut the travel time of crossing the New River Gorge from 45 minutes to 45 seconds. Every October they have Bridge Day which is when people can walk the span and legally parachute off of it. They actually have a museum about the bridge and surrounding area at the site, because why wouldn't you?
