No it didn't. Most of the temporary changes that occurred happened in Paris and the major cities and most French people at the time lived in the country, and a lot of them actively resisted the revolution and supported the Church and the nobility. Most of the permanent changes in French government and society happened under the Emperor Napoleon on top of all the wars he waged. The French ultimately put the Bourbon family of the guillotined Louis back on the throne.
