The average income in the USA for a plumber is around $60,000 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Of course that is based on reported income. and dosn't include the cash based friends and family work that all tradesmen do under the table. Master plumbers and general contractors make much, much more. If a plumber doesn't have a nice F-150 and a Harley, it's just because they are lazy. I don't think that they will be participating in any "rebellion" unless they can come up with over 60K.

It's a shame that the British treat their skilled workers like slaves, since there are a variety of ways to gouge customers, and that's what I would do if I was treated like a slave.
