The abolition of African slavery was done primarily by British, French, and other European armed forces who in the process colonized the lands they had ended slavery in, and brought in missionaries and merchants. Ethiopia had their slavery ended by Italian Fascists. Most people in South Africa are still poor and oppressed even without apartheid. So achieving great things is never cheap and easy no matter how heroic the people involved are.

What is the "fighting line"? Are you asking if the reader will continue to clap for and read your articles? There is no actual fighting that is going on, and you didn't link to an organization that is doing advocacy that they should join and support with their money. This is basically scaring people into being scared, and it's a genre of writing on Medium.
