That sounds awful to me. I'd blow my brains out if I had to do that. I'm glad I've never had to live that way, but I just use real three dimensional tools and stuff at my job not computers, and of course that is a choice I made. Most of the tools are lightweight and have a cord or a battery so I don't have to physically work harder. I like Ridgid and Bosch. Having power tools makes for a lot less wear and tear on the ol' body. I don't remember seeing any modern tools or appliances in the Estonian homes.
