Since most people spend so little time on their appearance these days and so many modes of dress are acceptable, I’d say that to actually appear non-conformist you would have to spend considerable thought, time, and expense on the process. If you really want see some people lose their shit over your appearance in Oakland, wear a red MAGA hat.
