Shopping for an expensive home, buying it, renovating it, landscaping it, furnishing it, decorating it, and maintaining it is a hobby for people that can afford to do it. It's all theirs, so they can do whatever they want and fulfill whatever fantasies they have of a perfect place to live. What would concern me more would be the people who have multiple expensive homes, like the Trumps and Obamas. They have the ability to fly anywhere in hours, so why do they need so many dwellings?
