See my post below. There are wars going on all over West and Central Africa, and the Tigray War in Ethiopia got sparse coverage as well. In the war in the Ukraine there are good guys and bad guys, but in the African conflicts including Sudan, there are no good guys.

Also, constant reports of fighting and instability in Africa make the whole continent sound like a violent shithole.
