Sarah, I guess that I have been fortunate enough to meet and read about some individual men and women who were in fact extraordinary in their field, not just in the sciences but in the arts as well. If everyone was equally talented, you could just choose the first few people that walk through the door to accomplish any endeavor, but nobody does that if they truly would like to see the endeavor succeed. They select the best available. Some people are just better at doing any given thing than others, and a tiny number of people are a lot better. They don’t have to be men, they just have to be better.
