People are still self intertested, they are still driven by money, sex, status, and attention from others, they are still acquisitive, and everyone is not as smart as they think they are. Just because you can Google something doesn't mean that you know it. They will also favor their friends and family over everyone else. I have to laugh when I see some of the pie in the sky ideas for social change, when the basic premise is that everyone has to fundamentally change their human nature for it to happen. If some new system requires people to be different than they actually are, it will fail. See the USSR, etc.
