“Men keep their emotions bottled up, which hinders the creation and retention of friendships, further alienating them.”

You certainly can’t mean American films and television. Men let big emotions out in every film, and then the punching and shooting starts. You know, the good part of the movie. Guys don’t want to watch two guys shoulder to shoulder telling each other how fond they are of each other unless they are sitting at the bar after having just mopped the floor with a biker gang. They don’t want them to look into each other’s eyes unless they are in a burning car jumping over a canyon full of zombies. You can walk up to your IRL friends anytime and say “I appreciate you, brother.”, and that pretty much does the trick. Then you can get back to living your lives together.
