Liberia has 16 distinct ethnic groups, as well as foriegn minorities. There also 27 different languages and even more dialects. The Protestant Christian denominations include Baptists, African Methodist Episcopal. AME Zion, Presbyterian, Nazarene Anglican, Lutheran, and lots of independent Pentecostal churches. There are also Mormons, Seventh Day Adventists, and Jehovah Witnesses. There is the unique Kwi practice identified with Americo-Liberians which is based on formality, decorum, and the upper class. It was a way for other ethnic groups to advance in society, but also a way to keep them out of the elite.

To make believe that 65% of people in a country belonging to the same denomination doesn't greatly affect their lifeways and even politics is silly. All of the Scandanvian countries have this Evangelical Lutheran thing going on.
