Let’s see, it’s Saturday night and ol’ Brad has been drinking with his buds since watching the game that afternoon. They pre-gamed a few shots at their usual old man dive, and then hit the weed vape in the parking lot before they rolled into the bar where the lovely Sarah is enjoying a beverage. Sarah is looking mighty good and…Now what was all that stuff that Brad was supposed to remember again? Is she sending out certain hand signals or something? She’s not holding her outstretched palm in his face and saying “Stop!”, rather she’s letting him buy her a beer, so it’s definitely going in the right direction for Bradley. Jäger shots with Sarah are next on Brad’s agenda, at least until he finds out that there has been a sudden change in the evening’s program. Now Brad is unhappy.

People that are drinking don’t always react appropriately to overt social cues, let alone subtle ones. That’s why crowded bars and clubs have bouncers on hand. If a woman isn’t interested in a fellow in a bar, she should just come out and say so right up front. Just because a guy isn’t sloppy doesn’t mean he isn’t half in the bag. Assume that anyone you talk to in a bar is under the influence, and interact with them in like fashion by being clear and direct.
