It's great that you forgave yourself, but when are you asking the people you acted like a dick to for forgiveness? You need to tell them that you are never going to ruin their birthdays, vacations, or Thanksgivings again, and that there won't be anymore "crazy shit" or talking about death. Unless you do that and stick to it, those people are wasting their time with you.
