Stop watching the news and get off of social media and get out and interact with actual human beings and it won't be embarrassing anymore. The news is cherry picking bad behavior from over 7 billion people, and social media will have conflict forever because people enjoy it, just like they enjoy competing in a video game, tennis match, or game of Scrabble. The only embarrassing behavior I've seen lately in real life is from the usual deranged people one sees on the street. Since the pandemic began I've noticed strangers going through extra lengths to be kind to each other.
