In a perfect world where we all float around in our own little bubble, being messy is fine. But in the real world, most of us have to live and work with other people, and in that case people that leave a mess behind where ever they go are assholes. If I can’t find a tool or a file folder because a coworker didn’t put it back where it belonged, of if there are roaches in my living space because there is a slice of moldy pizza under that pile, there will be a harsh reckoning. I don’t care how “creative” you are, if you are going to live or work around me, clean up and organize your stuff or I’m taking it all right to the dumpster.
