I'm a skilled blue collar worker, and I wear a uniform to work, consisting of a branded shirt and rugged long pants or shorts. Women on our crew wear exactly the same thing. In most service industries workers wear the exact same branded clothing regardless of their gender, do the exact same jobs, and make the exact same money. Even in a fancy restaurant the waitrons all wear the same kind of livery nowadays.

I have a person in my neighborhood that is a trans woman that always wears a dress, and I have seen them driving my bus. They are very courteous and a good driver, but in the transit uniform they look like a dude with long hair since all of the drivers wear the same uniform. Polite college students call them "sir", but their gender doesn't really matter anyway, just staying on schedule and not hitting a car.

Uniforms and identical expectations: Capitalism getting it done to eliminate the gender framework.
