I'm a regular visitor to Virginia Beach. The Atlantic Ocean is no closer to the boardwalk than when I was stationed down that way in the 1980s. They are constantly dredging sand up on to the beach, and I don't see why they can't do that forever. They're still building high rises and multi-million dollar mansions on the beach. There are no bargains on beach front property anywhere on the East Coast.
