I’m a dude and a long time gardener who has always loved flowers, and I have to say that the picture illustrating the article made me angry. Get those stupid gloves off that kid! That’s dirt in that pot son, good healthy dirt. Get your hands all up in it. Those flowers are made out of that stuff! Later, when you’re done planting, you can roll around in that dirt like a boy.
