If you are not starving, you have a roof over your head, the lights are on, and you are not freezing to death, then yes, you should be grateful. You didn't grow the food you're eating, did you? You didn't build the house you're living in, did you? You're not making the electricity you're using, are you? You didn't drill that natural gas out of the ground for your heat, did you? Rich or poor, if we all showed a little more gratitude for the gifts we have recieved we would all be better off. I try to grateful for anything anyone does for me, even if I have paid them to do it. The world doesn't owe us shit.
