I would not expect that a large group of black Americans would be welcomed to settle in Africa considering what they did last time. The last time African Americans went "Back to Africa" and founded Liberia in 1847, the problem wasn't what was left behind, but what they did to idigenous Africans who were already living where they settled. They basically turned them into their slaves and established a plantation economy just like that in the Antebellum South. A tiny number of the Americo-Liberians colonists, whose culture was exactly the same as American white planter class of the time down to the hoop skirts, ruled their country with an iron fist until they were overthrown in 1980. Since then Liberia has experienced instability and crazy bad violence. 83% of the country's population lives below the international poverty line.

If you had actually talked to some Africans, you might have found out that they don't think that black Americans are better than they are except in one way. They live in America.
