I think it is noteworthy that although there were revolutions, coups, and guerilla warfare, the Western Hemisphere had no major battles (The Falklands?) or cities subjected to aerial bombardment during the 20th Century. We should endeavor to keep it that way.

Also Marxism and Nietzsche don’t explain the bad craziness Imperial Japan subjected Asia to, the never ending conflicts in SW Asia, and all of the half remembered bloodshed in Africa in the 20th Century.
