I taught disabled kids for awhile, have known people with Tourettes of various degrees of severity, and have encountered them on public transportation. A couple of years ago on a city bus I had to get between a man with severe Tourettes and some tough kid who didn’t understand what was going on with the cursing. The kid couldn’t understand that the poor fellow couldn’t help it and wanted to kick his ass. I have a young friend whose mild Tourettes is mitigated by cannabis.
