I talk to young people all of the time, and they are not angry at me or any other geezers who had absolutely nothing to do with their upbringing or education. Of couse they are all gainfully employed and well educated. We have a lot to share with each other. Anyone who blames a generation of strangers for their problems is weak and stupid. I supported and raised my own children, and they are productive, law abiding, tax paying adults who are tolerant of others, so I did my bit for the future.

The same rule applies to young people today as it did when I was young and dinosaurs roamed the Earth. You do the best with what you are given.

"(Young people) give a shit and they want things to be better for everybody."

Don't mistake the make believe sentiments of strangers that you see online as reality. Civic organizations that actually do things in the community like the Kiwanis and Jaycees, and churches, have been steadily losing membership. Most volunteers on Habitat for Humanity builds or in food banks are retired folks, not the youngsters. They have screens to look at, and eventually they will grow up to be just like every other generation.
