I see some pretty badass men crying all the time. It's called "the playoffs", and they only let you see the winning side teary eyed, because the other side is really crying. Make or break game for their entire career, and they or the other knuckleheads on the team blew it. Men crying is also quite acceptable in hospitals, funerals, weddings, and award and testimonial dinners, since they have a good reason to cry. A better question would be why do adult women cry so much? I've seen women cry because the chairs were set up wrong for a meeting.
