I really like that illustration of the battle, but I can't quite place the culture or time period, and there is no caption. There is obviously some mayhem going on there, but if one group of people is attacking another group, invading their lands, taking their stuff, raping their women, and burning anything that will burn, isn't hatred of them a reasonable emotion? If you don't want to get killed or turned into one of their slaves, hatred seems to be the way to go. Kill the motherf--kers, or they are galloping on your head.

On the other hand, when I was in the military I didn't hate our potential enemies. I respected them for what they could do to me and my comrades in arms. A good soldier is a good soldier. The thing about being a true warrior is that hate never enters into it. You are playing a very dangerous game, and so is the enemy. Great athletes don't hate their opponents either.
