I have visited a couple of roadside snake farms, including one in Luray, Virginia that must have had fifty different types of rattlers that were all native to the Old Domion, along with gigantic pythons and a petting zoo. The owner was an affable old coot who was missing a lot of fingers. Now there was a man who had achieved a dream. He had assembled the largest collection of venomous snakes on the East Coast, and the collection was self supporting as there was admission to see the man killing vipers behind glass. Someone had to do it I guess.
