Why? It's something every civilized person should do in the course of being a good human. Who wants to hear about socially unacceptable beliefs or behavior that anyone else engages in? If it is in the form of a funny, self depreciating story, let her rip. When you share things that you regret about yourself with others, it burdens them and makes you look weird, and folks shouldn't be subjected to that unless they are a professional. I don't want to hear about anyone else's sex life unless they are a movie star.
