I have good friends that just went on safari in Southern Africa, and they plan to go back. They had to pay the local Africans that waited on them and made them comfortable during their trip, and I'm sure they tipped well on top of that, so they aren't feeling any guilt since the Namibians were glad to get that money. It beats poaching an elephant. How is being waited on in the local diner by some stranger from your community different from that exactly? Can you look them straight in the eye while they clear the trash off your table without feeling uncomfortable? I bet you can.
