I find it odd that an article about privacy is book ended by a discussion of Tara Westover who wrote a bestselling tell all memoir about her life, Educated. All of her family members did not agree with her depiction of them, or by the fact that their lives were splashed out for everyone to gander at so she could sell books. Does Tara Westover’s family get privacy, or are they a special case because they’re strange and not very sympathetic? Who else doesn’t deserve privacy because they make us uncomfortable?
