I don’t personally know anyone that has happened to, nor have I encountered one of the bodies, but I have been to a fair number of funerals of people that lived pretty humdrum lives. The person you are describing would fall under the category of “fucked up”, not “mediocre”. They are at the far end of the bell curve, not in the middle.
