I do look deeply and have a spiritual life, but I have seen the insanity of war and civil strife, and the regular day to day things that people do are not insane. They are pursuing their self interests as best they can without hurting others, and that is the most we should expect out of them. I have also worked in a locked behavioral health facility and been around people that were considered clinically insane, and they were very difficult to spend time around. They have a whole other way of seeing the world, and it’s not conducive to being productive or spending time around other people. But we have to accept people as they are because they can’t be any other way. Calling them insane will not change them, even the ones that are insane. John Cleese is exceedingly wealthy and has had a very successful life, so he has no right to complain. That insanity sure worked out well for him.
